Itinerary

DAY 1: CASABLANCA ⇢ RABAT ⇢ FES

Your 4 days Morocco tour will start in the morning with you being picked up from Mohammed V International Airport, your hotel, or anywhere you’re in Casablanca by one of our awesome local tour guides (prepare to be entertained – these guys are always up for a laugh)!

On our first morning, we will drive to Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, the largest Mosque in Morocco and the 7th largest globally. Then, go to Rabat to explore the Hassan Tower. The minaret of an incomplete mosque. Here, you will also get to visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V.

After having lunch in Rabat, we will head to Fes. Tonight, you can have dinner in the Medina of Fez. Sleep in a beautiful Riad in the Medina.

DAY 2: FES ⇢ IFRANE ⇢ MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ ZIZ VALLEY ⇢ MERZOUGA DESERT

After a delicious breakfast in your Riad, we leave Fes behind, driving to Merzouga desert. Our first destination will be Ifrane, a beautiful town in the Middle Atlas Mountains. It’s often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco. After a quick stop here, we carry on driving across the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop in a cedar forest for a while to watch some rare Barbary macaques in the wild. Lunch will be in a restaurant somewhere along the way. Then, continue traveling to the desert via the Tizi N Telghemt and along the Ziz Valley.

Arrive at Merzouga town (a small village on the edge of Erg Chebbi Dunes ) late afternoon. Here, your camels and the guide will be waiting to take you across the Sahara desert to your desert camp. On the way to your camp, you will stop in a high dune to watch a calm sunset over the giant Sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Then, carry on the ride.

You will be greeted by a cup of tea once you arrive at the camp. Relax in your private tent before dinner time. After an appetizing dinner, you will get a seat around a campfire with Berbers. Listen to some Berber music, and share the culture while looking under a starry sky.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA ⇢ RISSANI ⇢ TODRA CANYON ⇢ DADES GORGES

Today, an early wake-up is highly recommended to watch the golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your camp. Leave the camp either by camels again or by a 4×4 car.

If today is Tuesday or Thursday, or Sunday, we can visit a traditional Moroccan souk in Rissani. Then, drive to Tinghir. We will stop at a panoramic view over palm trees and Berber villages.

Continue driving along the Todra river until we reach the deep Todra Canyon. Enjoy a walk under these 300 meters high cliffs.
After that, we will drive to our last destination today, the Dades Gorges. Here, we will visit an area that was at the bottom of the sea millions of years ago. The place contains great quantities of sediments. You will also get to enjoy a panoramic view of a snaky road before heading to your hotel.

DAY 4: DADES GORGES ⇢ OUARZAZATE ⇢ AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH ⇢ HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ MARRAKECH

On the final day of your 4 days desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we will start our journey to Marrakech after a delightful breakfast in your hotel.

First, we will drive to Ouarzazate via the city of Kalaat M’Gouna, which is known for its valley that gets full of roses during spring. In Ouarzazate, we will drive to Atlas Studio (the world’s biggest film set) that you can visit (optional).

Second, we drive to the ancient Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a striking example of Morocco’s southern architecture. The fortified town was the setting for many famous films such as Prince of Persia, Lawrence of Arabia, The Mummy, and Gladiator. It even became the city of Yunkai in Game of Thrones.

Third, after exploring the Kasbah, we will drive to Marrakech through the landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains and over the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, which reaches an altitude of 2260 meters (7415 ft) high from the sea level. We will have some stops along the way before we get to Marrakech. End your 4 day Morocco tour by dropping you off at your Riad in Marrakech.
