Today, enjoy a full day exploring the imperial city of Fes. Start with a visit to the Fes el-Bali Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can wander through narrow alleys and bustling souks. Visit the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, one of the oldest universities in the world, and the Tanneries, where traditional methods of leather production are still practiced. Explore the Bou Inania Madrasa, a beautiful Islamic school with stunning architecture, and visit the Royal Palace. After breakfast, continue your journey toward Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Next, visit Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” where you can visit the Atlas Film Studios or the Taourirt Kasbah.
