
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Marrakech. As you travel towards Ait Benhaddou, you will cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains, passing through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering panoramic views of the mountains and valleys below. You will also see traditional Berber villages along the way, giving you a glimpse into the local culture.
Once you arrive at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, you’ll explore the impressive kasbah, a well-preserved fortified village made of clay and mudbrick. It’s a highlight of Moroccan architecture and has been featured in many films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Afterward, continue your journey to Dades Gorges, a spectacular canyon known for its towering cliffs and dramatic landscapes. After checking into your accommodation, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and relax amidst the stunning surroundings.

On the second day, after breakfast, you’ll drive through the Todra Gorges, a series of towering limestone cliffs that rise dramatically above the riverbed. The area is popular for hiking and exploring the riverbanks. You’ll have time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the serene surroundings before continuing your journey.
Next, head towards Erfoud, a town known for its fossil workshops and the entrance to the Sahara Desert. From there, drive to Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi Dunes. Upon arrival, you’ll mount camels for a camel trek through the dunes, experiencing the stunning Sahara sunset as the dunes change color. Your trek will lead you to a traditional desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, listen to Berber music around the campfire, and sleep under the stars.

Wake up early to witness a spectacular Sahara sunrise over the dunes, before enjoying breakfast at the camp. Afterward, ride your camels back to Merzouga and prepare for the return journey. Your first stop will be Rissani, an ancient town with a bustling market, where you can explore local crafts and products.
Continue your journey via the Draa Valley, a beautiful area known for its palm groves, kasbahs, and lush green landscapes, offering a stark contrast to the surrounding desert. The valley is a major agricultural area and a scenic highlight of the route. After passing through the valley, continue your drive back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains. You will arrive in Marrakech in the evening, completing your unforgettable adventure.
